We’re glad you’re visiting our blog – if you’re looking for the most recent information on our productions and the partnership enterprise, it’s a good place to start. Meet-and-greet our vision of gamedev we’d like to present to players.
According to the Spicy Mobile agency’s report “Players 2019”, Polish gaming market is worth over $540 million and expenditure on mobile games accounts for as much as 40% of the amount. What does it mean? Thanks to high-tech smartphones and tablets, players are becoming more mobile and less connected to consoles and desktops, which in turn leads to development of the mobile games segment.
The statistical mobile device user likes playing during working days, and the biggest group of fans of this form of entertainment are women (61%). The proportions may vary when it comes to specific genres, which can be seen in the segment of sport games. This is where men lead the way, representing 81% of active users.
Considering the above-mentioned data, it’s no wonder that the mobile games segment is so energetic and several new studios are entering the market to reach out to players. As PlayingLab, we decided to join the group of Polish developers, initially focusing on sport-inspired titles. After locating the office in a former porcelain factory, which quality had charmed the whole of Europe, the time has come to plan our business moves. Thanks to cooperation with Fgfactory, we started to work on our first production, Magnificent Tennis, which is a nod to one of the most popular sports in the world which is tennis.
The work on the game is coming to an end and PlayingLab is getting ready for the premiere on mobile devices. On the day of its release Magnificent Tennis will be available in 9 languages on devices using Android and iOS systems, and also as a browser-based game. What we can promise and tell the most inquiring players is that we will be intensively developing the production and working on next titles!
